Ara Damansara’s new Shoraku Kopitiam marks a new milestone for the neighbourhood’s Shoraku Ramen, advancing from a single stall to a full-fledged kopitiam-style store with multiple stations for Japanese tonkotsu ramen, udon, aburasoba and donburi, with kushiyaki and Korean bibimbap to come soon.
Fuss-free, friendly and fulfilling, Shoraku Kopitiam keeps a balance between quality and affordability.
Pork udon is served at an introductory price of RM10 (to be RM15 after this month), surprisingly hearty in the classic butaniku style with pork belly and sauteed onions. Shoraku’s secret weapon is the soup, potently sweetened with seafood like katsuobushi and niboshi without being fishy.
Black aburasoba clocks in at just RM13, gently garlicky, mixed up with sufficiently tender and tasty chashu and egg for an easily enjoyable mazesoba.
Shoraku Kopitiam’s seating is airy and abundant under the shade of trees. Shoraku Ramen’s existing stall still operates nearby.
