Chicago-inspired deep-dish pizzas, Philadelphia-loving cheesesteaks: Meat & Eat offers its own interpretations of these cherished American city classics. Tasty enough on its merits, though purists need not apply.
Meat & Eat's deep-dish pizza (RM38) bears the signature higher edge, but it's more of a regular wood-fired pizza here (instead of Illinois' substantially thicker, buttery pie-like pride that's typically baked in a cake pan), so the rest of it is like a thin-crust Italian speciality that's loaded with mozzarella, plus ground beef, mushrooms and onions on tomato sauce.
The cheesesteak (RM30) features tender, sweet-savoury meat, though not as carnivorously portioned as Philly's, catering perhaps for localised sandwich preferences, coming in a soft roti john bun instead of a hoagie roll, with house-made cheese whiz melting into a brown sauce that Pennsylvania might disavow.
