Kushiya cooks up both Korean and Japanese fare from one kitchen, showcasing distinctive seafood sets, particularly for lunch.
The Albab Set puts an interesting twist on the Korean bibimbap that Malaysians are familiar with, replacing meat with a heap of flying fish roe, for a crunchy-pop texture in every bite when mixed with the rice (RM25).
The Salmon Head Yaki Set is well worthwhile, with fresh, flaky collar flesh, juicily grilled, hearty with steamed rice, salad, soup, kimchi and pickles (RM20).
Of course, Korean soju and Japanese sake are equally available.
Note: This visit and all photographs taken were in early March.
