After nearly two decades in Bangsar, Aunty Christina is taking her well-respected Sarawak laksa to PJ, shifting from her kopitiam stall in Lucky Garden to her own full-fledged eatery in Sea Park. Aunty Christina's laksa has its roots in her childhood, when she & her siblings learned to prepare this recipe in Kuching under their mother's tutelage. The result: Laksa that's satisfyingly rich & robust, offered in three serving sizes starting from RM9 - the special, featuring fleshier prawns, costs RM12. It's the ideal introduction to Aunty Christina, but the menu also touts another Sarawak speciality of kacangma chicken, mildly bitter with the acquired taste of motherwort (RM15 for a substantial portion with plenty of tender meat), plus recipes that evoke home-made flavours, like herbal chicken soup (RM10). Service is warm, with the team here eager to see happy customers.
