The Forking Cork @ Taman OUG

As its name suggests, The Forking Cork promises plenty of fun, with wine & whisky galore to keep our spirits high. But there's also a serious side to this suburban bar, which doubles as a destination for entrepreneurs to connect and exchange ideas over a communal 'social island' table. We've had a couple of late-night drinking sessions at The Forking Cork, & it's consistently been an enjoyable hangout, especially in a neighbourhood not known for bottles of Bordeaux. Outlet founders Chris, Terence, Jaden, Andrew, Gary & Nicholas are warm & welcoming, & their place oozes charm & character. A kitchen is in the pipeline, but for now, patrons can order pastas, baked eggs & grilled chicken from Doors Cafe next door to pair with Prosecco & more.

  1. Wow!! A place that my wife will surely love :) but why oh why it's in OUG? By the way what's the price range for the wines? For now we still head to Happer's for wine because it's nearer but I don't mind driving there once in a while...

    1. Leo: heh, OUG is just a 10-minute drive from my place, so i don't mind :) there was no wine list or pricing list when i was here, but we requested bottles in the RM100-plus range :)

    2. I see... So for now we can BYO food? Or strictly limited to the food next door only?
On the other note, Forking Cork sounds quite obscene... Lol

  5. Oh dear!!! What a name! Doesn't make any sense, does it? Maybe they should have used Fork'n cork...as in there is food...and wine.
