Sugar & Butter by 126 Kitchen @ Damansara Perdana

A secret sanctuary for sweets - Sugar & Butter is run by Anne & Zulfa, a married couple who offer an array of interesting cakes & other indulgences. Take a table outdoors for a leafy view of Damansara Perdana; it's an idyllic setting for enjoying some chocolate cake with speculoos cookie buttercream, thyme-infused lemon cake with honey & mascarpone cheese, or lemongrass creme brulee with lychee & kaffir lime leaves, made with heart in the kitchen. This small but welcoming cake shop is not easily noticeable from the main road, but we think it has the potential to become a firm favourite in this neighbourhood.

    1. Ken: it's away from most of the commercial areas in damansara perdana, but not too far away. and i guess the residents of this condo are happy to have this place in their building, heh :)

    1. Rebecca: i like outdoor seating when the weather is pleasant :D the lemon cake was probably my favourite. i'd have liked a richer flavour for the chocolate cake, but it was still ok, heh :)

    2. Ohh the thyme-infused lemon cake with honey & mascarpone cheese - with that pretty look caught my eye too! :D

    3. Rebecca: ya, the lemon cake with all the ingredients sounded really interesting. I think the flavours could still have been perkier and zestier, but in the end, it was a good cake, fresh and moist and well-balanced in flavours. And ya, it was a bit more unusual than the regular cakes we see elsewhere ;)
