Balcon by Ultime is a terrific choice for cocktails, with a wide-open fourth-floor view of the city, bolstered by sterling service.
Tipples prove top-flight, beautifully balanced, thoughtfully nuanced, from aperitifs like Ethereal (RM25; elderflower liqueur with ginger and soda) to cool creations like Reunion (RM40; dark rum with spiced vermouth, sesame oil and house-blended cola).
We had to head elsewhere for dinner, so we couldn't linger, but Balcon's bar bites seem well worth returning for. The wagyu oil fries with black truffles are as addictive as fries can be (RM25), while the ox tongue tacos with tomato salsa sound even better.
