Nam Heong in Sunway Pyramid promises a refreshed look for the brand that includes more vintage elements, notable in its chairs and couches, lamps and lighting, complementing a setting that's filled with nostalgic portraits of Ipoh from the past century. Still, it's a comfortably contemporary space too, with tablet ordering from the table and other sleek, stylish flourishes.

Throughout 24 February till 1 March 2020, you can savour a main course at Nam Heong Sunway Pyramid for only RM3. Choose from the familiar favourites like the Nam Heong Chicken Hor Fun, Signature Assam Curry Noodles, Supreme Prawn Noodles, Ipoh Lum Mee, or Signature Roasted Chicken Rice - each bowl offers an authentic taste of Ipoh, bolstered by six decades of Nam Heong's history.

Each sip of the soups proves soulful, with flavours that feel time-honoured, from the mellow sweetness of the hor fun to the reviving tang of the assam curry noodles, the rich brininess of the prawn noodles to the aromatic fragrance of the chicken rice.

The RM3 offer for each main course is available for first 1,000 portions served at Nam Heong Sunway Pyramid starting 24 February, so be sure to head there before the week ends.

The next promotion runs for five days the following week, throughout 2-6 March 2020: RM2 per basket of dim sum, with choices like supreme BBQ pork buns, siew mai, Teochew mai, Ipoh traditional fried fish balls, spare ribs with black bean sauce, chicken feet with black bean spicy sauce, crispy prawn rolls, and crispy prawn dumplings.

Served fresh and steaming-hot, Nam Heong's dim sum strives to do justice to the traditions of Ipoh, where dim sum is revered for morning meals.

Each table is allowed three sets of dim sum at RM2 each, available for first 1,000 portions served per day during 2-6 March 2020.

Be sure to queue punctually for the next promotion, slated for 7, 8, 14 and 15 March: Free egg tarts and chicken sou, at 12pm and 4pm, available for the first 100 customers per session on a first-come, first-served basis.

Both are signature snacks that have long been Nam Heong's cherished staples; the egg tarts are hand-crafted with kampung eggs, with a crisply layered crust, while the chicken sou is stuffed with saucy chicken instead of the conventional pork.

The final promotion is scheduled for 9-13 March 2020: Free red bean dessert soup or Ipoh tau fu fah for customers dining in with a minimum spending of RM15, while stocks last - the ideal way to end a meal at Nam Heong, with irresistibly soothing treats that speak of a generations-old kopitiam heritage.
