Rocksalt @ Hartamas Shopping Centre

Set amid the sheen of saline walls, Rocksalt offers an eclectic menu with several scintillating highlights. The spicy watermelon rind soup is intriguing, with chunks of rind tenderly simmered in a tasty, well-balanced broth with the briny savouriness of shrimp ragout and tongue-tingling notes of chilli (RM18).

A few Mongolian-inspired lamb temptations seem to stand out - the most straightforward choice would be the meaty barbecued skewers (RM45), but you'll also find a Mongolian lamb noodle soup and even a Mongolian spiced lamb pizza.

To end the meal, the sushi dessert platter is memorable, put together with chilled, fruity components (RM25).

  3. From the name, a rock salt encrusted baked whole chicken or fish comes to mind...hehe! ;) A watermelon rind soup does sound intriguing...maybe I should attempt that at home...haha! :D
