Twenty Eight Telawi @ Bangsar

Twenty Eight's menu was a work in progress when we visited, but its Granada-born former chef supplied a touch of casual sophistication in potential offerings like pork rillettes with grilled bread & kitchen-made mustard; jamon iberico wrapped around hollow baguettes; intensely addictive croquettes, served crisp & steaming-hot with a stuffing of ham & cream; salmon cornets; & a ceviche of fish & prawns sourced from Pulau Ketam, with prices hovering around the RM25 mark. Twenty Eight seems to promote intriguing wines too, with Greek house pours, including the Agiorgitiko red varietal, recently available.

  1. I see this is a smoking joint....both inside and outside :( The chap in the first photo has a frightening stare...yikes >.<

    1. Contact.ewew: there were quite a number of smokers that evening, though coincidentally, my companion at the table was a smoker too! :)

  2. If I were to go with you, I'd be puffing away too. Hehehehehe!!!!

    1. Suituapui: heheh, that's fine - i don't mind at all! :D

  3. The croquettes look yummy! No non-smoking zone?

    1. CK: ya, the croquettes were my favourite here! :) hopefully the interior of the restaurant will be smoke-free for diners :)

    1. Hi Javier, sorry to hear you're not at Twenty Eight anymore - sure, no problem, I've amended the post and removed your name. Take care, and hope to see you elsewhere next year.
