Some of Bangsar's juiciest burgers are hidden on a residential road that's home to Urban Village, a "creative entrepreneurial hub" with its own cafe.
"Pop! Burger" is the name; hearty, halal burgers are the game. This "Mooger Madness" is a double-patty delight, comprising thick, fairly flavorsome slices of beef (begone, McDonald's!), egg, cheese & apple slices. Primly presented, but marvelously messy to eat.
Only two RM10 burgers are available. The other is "Chicger Crankin," with beef swapped for chicken & apples for pineapples. Also addictive, but less greasy than the Ramly/Otai varieties. We finished everything on the plate except the plain bun.
Burgers come with munch-worthy fries & "Tropic Thunder" beverages.
What about the rest of Urban Village? There are work & event spaces for rent, as well as studios for music, video & photography. Expect a cool, easy-going vibe here.
Directions: Urban Village is basically a house on the same street as Huck's Cafe, but on the opposite end. Despite bearing no obvious signboard, it isn't too tough to find.
