Malai Thai Cuisine @ Fraser Place

A soothing sanctuary for classic Thai fare in the city centre; Malai Thai scores solid points for the visual presentation of specialities like massaman curry with beef, potatoes and peanuts (RM28) and fried rice with shrimp paste (RM23). The kitchen's execution could nonetheless be fine-tuned for deeper dimensions and more distinctive dynamics in recipes like the fried tofu in phanang curry (RM20), pandan chicken (RM25) and pad thai with prawns (RM26). On the plus side, service is reasonably warm, and wine is available.

  2. Yes, I have to agree that the presentation of the massaman curry, with the fresh produce on the side, is rather unorthodox :) Hehe, can you take those to go? ;)
