Wafflemeister & Moo Cow @ Bangsar

Waffling over where to wander for waffles? Wafflemeister is one possibility - we initially reviewed them in their original venue at KLCC, but they've since moved to Bangsar. This is the first Malaysian outpost of a London-based business that specializes in handmade Liege waffles.

I waffle, therefore I am? Sounds exactly like us!

Wafflemeister's offerings supply a reasonably rich chew; the ingredients here fall under the 'premium' label, with Belgian choc fudge, Italian-style gelato & fresh whipped cream (lots of it!) used for both waffles & milkshakes.

Wafflemeister,
7, Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Roaming around Bangsar, we also stopped at Moo Cow's latest spin-off at Telawi.

Oops! We gobbled up our fro-yo so fast, we forgot to snap a photo of it. This month's flavor is Winter Melon, a lovely treat, terrific when topped with melon seeds.

2017 Update: Wafflemeister & Moo Cow are now both among of 12 restaurants in Bangsar participating in the ‘Dine, Earn & Redeem with your mobile number’ initiative by AirAsia BIG, AirAsia’s loyalty programme. Bonus waffle destination: Check out another newbie, Coffee Etc at Oasis Ara Damansara.

No monkeying around here; Coffee Etc's team is eager to please.

The Belgian waffles here won't cost much more than RM10.90 per serving, but the vanilla ice cream & blueberry jam toppings are significantly humbler. The waffles themselves are nonetheless pleasant, with a warm crisp to them.

Coffee Etc's coffee? No real complaints; works fine to curb caffeine cravings.

Coffee Etc
Oasis Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya. Open through early evening, except Sundays

  1. Do agree that one has to spend quite bit at Wafflemeister. Premium ingredients at premium place. But then again, it's not easy to get good ones around.

  2. Wow that's one expensive waffle. One of the best ones I've eaten is in Le Meridien, really crisp and topped with vanilla ice cream, just perfect!

  3. I saw the Wafflemeister a week or so ago after a crappy OUAM soft serve ice cream so I didn't get anything. Looks like I might the next time I'm in the area :)

  10. OOhh looks like a new rage is starting - waffles! That's quite costly though, but as you said, premium ingredients used, so that came with a price. Enjoy your trip and look forward to read about it soon!
