One Italian restaurant replaces another: Fuzio has taken over the location formerly occupied by Berangan's now-closed Bar Italia.
There's still a mighty menu at this fabulously friendly place: plenty of pasta, meat and seafood.
Hop here for a rabbit rampage: the rabbit casserole pie (RM58++) is full of flesh, soaked in a tangy, herb-scented sauce and packed into thin, flaky pastry.
Rabbit ragout pappardelle (RM38++), a rustic treat, deliciously creamy.
Grilled rabbit with baby carrots and asparagus in peppercorn sauce (RM54++). Sure, rabbit isn't the most flavorsome or succulent of creatures, but we're fans nevertheless.
Bordolino and Prosecco, about RM28++ per glass. We'll drink to Fuzio's future!
Service at Fuzio sparkles. Maybe someday, a staff member here will be nominated for GoMakan.com's Favorite Waitress Contest.
Fuzio,
29, Jalan Berangan, Kuala Lumpur.
Tel: 03-2110-0303
Open for lunch and dinner, except Sundays.
I think I should hop over here for their bunny offerings...oops!...hehe =)
ReplyDeleteUlric: heheh, plenty of other meat here too to satisfy your carnivorous cravings. lamb rack, etc =)
DeleteAda veal tak?...hehe =)
DeleteUlric: oops, didn't notice any veal on the menu =)
Delete3 dishes only? Too little for you! :P
ReplyDeleteHow can you eat rabbit? Mr. Shen Sheng Tu Si. LOL
CK: oooh, but this was supper, after dinner somewhere else :D hahah, holy rabbit enjoys eating rabbits =)
DeleteRather hoppity meal? Heheh... No bunny desserts? :)
ReplyDeletei wonder if rabbit meat is a staple for Italian? Cos i havent seen it offered at italian restos in KL (which could be due to its lack of popularity) but how about in italy?
TNG: heheh, a rabbit dessert would be quite unusual. not sure how it'd be possible though :D but ya, rabbit is a familiar dish in italy, france and several other european countries. i'd definitely like to see it served more often in KL :D
Deleteoh no! what happened to Bar Italia? i used to like that place!! But Fuzio food looks well :)
ReplyDeleteAugustDiners: change in management and name, but i think that fuzio is still very similar to bar italia. the rooftop bar is closed for now though, but they're planning to reopen it soon =)
DeleteA full rabbit meal.. they should serve carrot cake topped with one of those rabbit toppers or candied carrots ;P
ReplyDeleteBaby Sumo: that's a great idea! i actually do like carrot cake. especially with some walnuts and maybe cranberries in it :D
DeleteSo much rabbit! They would be hopping mad if they knew you ate their relatives :P Not to mention I'm born in year of rabbit! But I've always wondered what rabbit tastes like........ =p
ReplyDeleteDrops Of Contentment: heheh, very punny :D ooh, i'm born in the year of the rabbit too. which unfortunately makes me more than a decade older than you, sniff sniff =)
DeleteA rabbit meal sounds interesting, honestly a little embarassed to say I have not tasted rabbit meat in my life !!!!!
ReplyDeleteWong: no worries, rabbit actually tastes very similar to chicken. its meat is really lean, so it might feel like chicken breast =)
DeleteGosh i'm really horrible with KL roads...Where is Jalan Berangan?
ReplyDeleteSmitten By Food: ooh, it's parallel to changkat bukit bintang. basically a one-minute walk from changkat :D
DeleteBunny rampage? Looks like I have to check this place out without the hubster.
ReplyDeleteMissyblurkit: heh, the hubster can enjoy the tenderloin steak here! :D
DeleteIt's been a while since I've had rabbit... yum.
ReplyDeleteThe Yum List: yeah, i think there are probably fewer than a dozen eateries in KL's city center that serve rabbit. hopefully more will pop up! :D
DeleteWow u went on a rabbit spree?! But they are too cute to be eaten! :P
ReplyDeletePureglutton: heheh, their cuteness makes me even more eager to eat them :D
DeleteI like prosecco..
