They may take away our lives, but they'll never take away our liquor!
Braveheart Tavern is one of Solaris Dutamas' latest watering holes; come here on Mondays or Wednesdays, when performer Bala blows customers away with remarkable renditions of classics by Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and more.
We're not sure whether to recommend the food though; it's basic pub grub from pasta to burgers, though nothing inspired us to order from the menu.
Glenfiddich 12-year single malt, to honor the Scottish warrior William Wallace, and ermm, a Zombie cocktail (rum, peppermint, soda).
But what will probably prove a more popular Solaris Dutamas hangout, frankly, is The Social's spacious, chic-looking new outpost in Publika.
Both alfresco and air-conditioned areas are available, with pool tables within the latter.
The sprawling menu here comprises familiar Social favorites such as potted mackerel, the British classic of house-smoked pate with nutty wholemeal toast.
The "Very Beefy Burger" is meaty for sure; chicken and barramundi fish burgers are also offered.
Chocolate Orange Martini; so many cocktails at The Social, so little sobriety.
X-Rated Flirtini, not a bad alternative for Cosmo lovers.

ReplyDeleteTiming: beef burgers, chicken burgers, lamb burgers, lots of meaty soups, hmmm, probably too heavy since we had already had dinner elsewhere that nite...
