California Cookie Co & Marbles Bread Express

With convenient locations at The Curve and Mont Kiara, California Cookie Company could become the sweetheart of everyone who enjoys sinfully buttery cookies and brownies.

Soft-baked sensations, made fresh daily, for the fair price of RM4 apiece. Cali Cookie Co's kiosk at The Curve's overhead bridge to Ikano is open 10am-10pm everyday, and it also runs a stand at Plaza Mont Kiara on Thursdays, 3pm-7pm.

These chunky cookies, with plenty of chocolate chips, strike a pleasant balance between crunchy and chewy, leaning toward the latter.

Brownies are also available, the luscious kind in which each melt-in-the-mouth bite offers a deep, decadent creaminess.

Our next starchy stop: Marbles Bread Express, a nice bakery in Taman Seputeh.

Come in the morning, when everything's fresh and fluffy. We like the creative creations here, including marble "lollipops" and marble "churros."

Oreo-topped and chocolate-stuffed buns, delightfully dense.

  1. ♥ California Cookie Co! I only knew of it from when they were selling at Jaya One's Markets event. I ♥ their fudgy brownies - I would like to shoot whoever came up with the cakey brownie because it's called CHOCOLATE CAKE.

Their cookies are also delicious - mmm, now hungry thinking about it :P

  4. Didn't know they (California Cookie Co.) have a stall at night in Plaza Mont Kiara. Thanks for the info! Somehow, for a big piece like this, I prefer it to be soft and chewy. Crunchy should be left for Famous Amos only. Haha.

  10. As delicious as it looks, is RM4 a fair price for a cookie? Goodness gracious, I must be getting old. The time will come soon where I'll be one of those aunties who tell kids, 'I used to pay 40 sens for a bowl of curry mee!!'

    1. Elle: you have a good point! i think it was fair, since the cookies seem to be made of good ingredients and are made fresh daily. though you're right, maybe RM3 might seem like a more suitable price, but it might be too difficult for them to be profitable that way. i guess inflation is catching up on everything!
