Set to soft-launch 16 December, Bukit Bintang’s new ADOUGH Sourdough Social is a bakery-cafe that warms the heart, helmed by a home baker and her husband who care compassionately for their craft and customers.
ADOUGH nurtures a roughly 135-year-old, American-born wild yeast starter for its naturally leavened bread and viennoiserie, spanning bagels to pistachio pain suisse and more. Its festive Christmas special of apricot tonka bean panettone is available by advance order.
ADOUGH is in KL’s city centre, but it has the spirit of a bustling neighbourhood cafe, evidenced by the nicknames of its house-exclusive filter coffee beans, Notting Hill and Kensington. Also try the London Fog Mocha, laced with Earl Grey tea.
Look for the entrance lovingly lined with cypresses and pine trees at Agile Bukit Bintang. ADOUGH will have a wide-windowed dining space upstairs, with furnishing to come before this Monday.
