Bringing a bit of Denmark to Damansara Perdana, DenHygge is the Klang Valley's first restaurant that specialises in classic Danish cooking, run by Danish native Niels and his Russian wife Olga.
True to its name, DenHygge serves up a sense of cosy contentment, showcasing beautiful flavours on smørrebrød open sandwiches.
Snack on dense dark rye bread with toppings like marinated herring with egg, curry-spiced mayo, red onion and pork lard; pork liver pate with pickled cucumber and fried bacon; roasted pork loin with crackling and orange; and pork meatballs with red cabbage. Utterly addictive.
A rotation of hearty, honest and homely main courses recently featured ultra-comforting paprika pork tenderloin stew with sausages and mashed potatoes.
