Smash! Smash! SMASH!!!

Satisfy your smash burger cravings at MyGerai, KL's newest streetside burger stall concept.

Spearheaded by a team of entrepreneurs to tackle unemployment issues caused by COVID, MyGerai embarked this year to empower young Malaysians with fresh job opportunities.

At MyGerai, you can savour lip-smacking smash burgers with chicken and beef patties, customised with toppings of pineapple slices, beef bacon, caramelised onions, cheddar cheese and eggs.

MyGerai also offers local delights, such as chicken and beef satay, complete with creamy kuah kacang, thoughtfully sourced from the local community. More local varieties and burger creations will be coming soon.

MyGerai has four outposts in Wangsa Maju, Setiawangsa, Sentul and Giant USJ, with plans for more soon.

Watch our video above to catch all the action at MyGerai.

We visited MyGerai in Setiawangsa to snag some burgers and satay, cooked fresh to order.

With plenty of parking surrounding these streets, this is a popular spot from evening to night for a delicious dinner to go.

Single burgers take about five minutes to prepare, while the top-tier Triple G burgers might take eight to 10 minutes.

MyGerai's speciality of smash burgers harnesses metal presses to smash down the ground meat balls into flattened patties.

The result: Evenly cooked 100-gram patties with a caramelised sear, their craggy crust harbouring the succulent savouriness of real-textured meat.

For the ideal introduction, begin with the Burger Daging (RM10).

Not a cliched, conventional street burger - MyGerai crafts its own patties with premium New Zealand beef, resulting in a diner-style burger that's incredibly juicy and irresistibly flavourful.

Tailor-make your own personal burger with your preferred toppings: Beef bacon (RM3), chicken ham (RM2), egg (RM1), caramelised onions (RM1), American cheddar cheese (RM1) and pineapple rings (RM1).

The Burger Ayam (RM9) is the chicken equivalent, layered with punchy poultry pleasure, sandwiched in a concoction that's meaty and saucy to the bite, crisp and creamy to the chew, bountifully balanced with everyone's favourite Malaysian street-burger components.

Feeling extra hungry? Chomp on the MyGerai Triple G burger with all the toppings - the Burger Daging Triple (RM28) is striking and spectacular, a triple-patty threat that's sensational to share or to savour for one massive appetite!

The Burger Ayam Triple (RM26) is also triumphantly thick and tall, a hearty meal chock-full of all the available toppings, rounded out with a generous slathering of cheese sauce, barbecue sauce and mayonnaise. The ultimate street-burger indulgence.

Beyond burgers, MyGerai currently also fires up classic charcoal-cooked premium large-sized satay, such as Satay Ayam (RM1.60 per stick) and Satay Daging (RM1.90 per stick).

The satay is chunky with a moist, firm chew and subtle char, complete with cucumber, nasi impit, red onions, sambal and a pleasantly textured peanut sauce - perfect to placate skewer cravings.
