Taman Yulek’s new Bru Cafe & Bar stirs up something different, remixing coffee, cocoa, tea and even house-fermented mead into playful pours.

Sunset Drive cruises in with Kelantan single-origin cocoa, blended with black tea, pink peppercorn and berries for a medley of earthy fruitiness.

Sunny shines with Bru’s own mead, a honey wine florally scented with chrysanthemum and osmanthus, lifted with cola and rhubarb syrup.

Tired of strawberry matcha lattes? Try Deep Matcha: Uji matcha meets milk, rhubarb syrup, elderflower and soda for a layered, lightly fizzy twist.

Pair your potion with rum-tinged tiramisu, assembled fresh to order.

Soft-launching this week, Seminyak brings Bali-inspired breeziness to Bandar Sunway.

Chill out with invigoratingly icy Indonesian treats to beat the heat, from Es Teler (with avocado, coconut and jackfruit coulis, poured with condensed milk and raspberry sauce) to Es Rujak Gobet (with young mango, pineapple, cucumber, mint, calamansi and rojak sauce).

Seminyak's kitchen will start running later this month. Current complimentary tapas provide a preview of tipat cantok (rice cakes with blanched veggies in peanut sauce) and batagor (fried fish dumplings and tofu), paired with ginger-turmeric jamu.

Seminyak is part of Sunway Pyramid's new Terrace outdoor annexe near the main entrance.

Fans of focaccia, feast on Buttersome’s, some speckled with pistachios and apricots, others splashed with potatoes, mushrooms, herbs and truffle oil, fragrant and flavoursome with a pillowy chew.

Coffee is lovingly brewed too: Hand-pours rely on a range of Brazilian, Ethiopian, Yunnan and Sumatran beans.

Look for Buttersome’s playful, pastry-loving duck mascot, crowned with a yellow beret, clutching a stick of butter.
