Piper, no! Nestled in a Buddhist temple, PJ’s new 37 Degrees Cafe blends serenity and spirituality with strawberry smoothies, much preferable to a poisoned pina colada. The coconut milk is not off.

Coffee and tea convey yin and yang, from the cool, citrusy firepower of the yuzu Americano to the steaming-hot chrysanthemum tea with cassia seeds, more karmically soothing than lorazepam.

Search for 37 Degrees Cafe at Section 4’s Yuan Lin Xiao Zhot Temple, one of PJ Old Town’s long-surviving temples, founded in 1956. Time gives it meaning.
