Nishi Cha is KL's new hideout for matcha, serving sencha and zen in the city centre.
Sip on lemony matcha tonics (RM14) and umami-undertoned water-brewed sencha (RM7), with organic Japanese matcha sourced from a single-estate, third-generation Kagoshima tea farm. The farm harnesses pure underground water to cultivate its tea, relying on five-year natural compost, without chemical fertilisers or insecticides.
Carefully curated beverages here include matcha with house-made ginger honey marmalade (RM14).
Nishi Cha Organic Matcha Cafe shares its location with the recently relocated Fukuya restaurant in Imbi. The matcha cafe has its own dedicated wing, separate from the restaurant, with alfresco and air-conditioned sections. It's currently open Monday to Saturday, 10am-6pm.
