Fans of quirky cafes, check out Untitled, a shed-like shelter built over a patch of cleared weeds and bushes, turned into a hidden sanctuary for Japanese-inspired meals and more. With limited seating in this small space, reservations are required, especially since Untitled only opens on Fridays and weekends.
Grilled rice cakes are a highlight, gloriously glutinous, in savoury or sweet varieties with toppings like seaweed, matcha, red bean paste, furikake, soy sauce or shredded coconut flakes, while weekly specials might include steaming-hot oden with daikon, fukubukuro, hanpen, chikuwa and fish cakes.
Beverages prove playful, from taro-laced milk to fresh coconut water with a shot of espresso.
