The star ingredient, the house-made pork patty, earns the spotlight - thick and moist, fresh-tasting and meaty-textured, unmistakably porcine, like a cross between a modern burger's chunky patty and a classic Chinese steamed minced pork patty.
We had ours in the Sneaky Mother Porken Burger (RM28.80; the priciest burger here, with the basic pork burger starting at RM9.90), sandwiched not only with the pork patty but a deep-fried chicken thigh, double bacon, double cheese, lettuce, pickled gherkins, caramelised onions and Sneaky sauce (of course, we added an egg too, for RM2).
The result: Pure pork-and-poultry pleasure, more succulence than we can sink our teeth into. With everything going on in this burger, it proved more well-balanced than we might expect. Honest-quality, well-prepared ingredients from top to bottom, from the buns to the meat - let's give 'em something to oink about.
