Downtown KL’s new Chi Chi brings a beautiful rustic charm to Dang Wangi, blending a classic kopitiam’s soulful romanticism with a contemporary cafe’s suave sense of chic.
Fluffy crumpets with jalapeno-spiced fried chicken, spring onions and pickled onions make for a fun brunch with international inspirations, on a Melburnian-style menu that showcases everything from shakshouka to pastas.
In the morning, the light hits the windows with lovely sunbeams, illuminating a calm, restful space with thoughtful, time-honoured touches - it’s a true sanctuary from the bustle outside. A private room for six patrons is also available.
Chi Chi occupies the first floor of one of the neighbourhood’s long-standing shop-houses. Below, customers can find Chi Chi’s sister eatery, Aunty Nee Nee, a pork-free Penang-inspired kopitiam for Hokkien mee and char koay teow.
