Bringing together a century-old French legacy of ancestral vines with a contemporary commitment to sustainability, the House of Telmont has become one of the world's most respected names for champagne.
Spreading through the US in hubs like New York, Los Angeles and Miami in recent years, Maison Telmont has now embarked into Malaysia, with its official Kuala Lumpur launch on 15 June 2023.
With roots that stretch back to 1912 in the village of Damery, near Epernay, Maison Telmont now thrives through the fortitude of fourth-generation winegrowers who eloquently express the complex facets of nature in their grapes.
What elevates Maison Telmont further are its environmental initiatives. It's progressively converting its entire vineyard into 100% certified organic agriculture by 2025, renouncing herbicides, pesticides and chemical fertilisers. It relies on classic green bottles that are completely recyclable and has banned gift box packaging. It harnesses renewable energy with solar power and electric vehicles for its estate operations.
Maison Telmont's Malaysian launch brought the glitterati to the gleaming Bar Trigona in Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
Guests marvelled at a menu pairing that showcased four of Maison Telmont's most coveted champagnes, now available in Malaysia - the Réserve Brut, Réserve Rosé, Blanc de Blancs 2013 and Vinothèque 2013.
The champagnes were matched with sumptuous bites by Four Seasons, spotlighting themes of sustainability through creative culinary craftsmanship.
Telmont’s champagne style is defined by its tension and its freshness, its balanced acidity leading to a long-lasting finish, with a layered presence and personality - structured but airy and ethereal, more accessible than opulent.
