Fun fact #1: Three Plates Full is part of Subang Jaya’s oldest shop-house row, built some 50 years ago. Coincidentally, the father of one of Three Plates Full’s co-founders was part of the engineering team that supervised the original 1970s construction, with its double-frontage architecture (both its facade and its back mirror each other) and dual staircase structure. That makes Three Plates Full a fascinating two-generational project, with contemporary designers working on a building that maintains much of its decades-old character.
Three Plates Full's menu offers a modern take on crowd-pleasing favourites, with an eye on excellent produce. New Zealand Napier eggs, Argentinian Devesa grass-fed beef, and Spanish iberico and US pork form the foundation for flank steaks with chimichurri and chervil, two-hour sous vide pork collars, and slow-braised pork cheek rice bowls with pickles and poached eggs.
