Halarika's Nasi Ranong, named for the southern Thai province, evokes Terengganu's Nasi Dagang, interpreted through a recipe by the Thai family of Halarika's founders. Its heavier reliance on beras pulut makes it much stickier, perfectly paired with gulai ikan tongkol that's also spicier and more chilli-fuelled (RM10).
A tasty main course deserves a delicious dessert - the Halarika is the namesake sweet treat of this delivery service, a Middle Eastern-inspired take on a rich, softly layered waffle sandwich, filled with homemade Ajwa date paste, topped with cream, shredded cheese and honey (RM8).
