Kaizen Coffee marks a fresh start for the folks behind Subang's now-closed Project Gibraltar; a visit to this easy-going space should yield consistently satisfying cups of coffee, with beans supplied by local microroaster Supernormal Coffee Roasters.
The kitchen is helmed as a pop-up by Project Gibraltar's former neighbours, Avgust Cafe, which aims to please the neighbourhood's college crowd with hearty burgers (RM16 with a minced chicken patty, hash brown, rocket, cheese and mustard mayo in a house-made brioche bun) and sandwiches (RM16 with pulled beef, beef bacon, tomatoes and caramelised onions in ciabatta bread that's also baked here). Nutella mille-crepe cakes (RM12 per slice) are ideal if you just need dessert.
