Bangsar's latest restaurant on Lorong Kurau is all fired up with smoked specialities, served in a pleasant two-level setting, staffed by a welcoming team.
Our favourite orders here are the hot, hearty & meaty bowls of risotto with smoked duck & slow-cooked egg (RM42.90) & smoked beef short ribs braised in their own jus with gnocchi & veggies (RM96.90). Rubs' recipes prove competently prepared, from the barramundi with smoked calamari, young corn & sweet corn puree in seafood broth (RM68.90) to the roast chicken with fries (RM48.90), with the caveat that the smoky flavours turn out to be a tad tamer than expected.
A frozen cheesecake with lemon curd ice cream might be the highlight of the dessert selection (RM26.90), while the bar's signatures include a smoked Negroni (RM33.90) & Martini (RM36.90).
