Mad about murals? You might go ga-ga over the walls at Kota Damansara's new Crazy Kopitiam.
This colourful contemporary coffee shop serves carb-heavy specialities - porridge, chicken rice, tomyam fried rice.
We're on a bit of a nasi lemak binge for this post: Crazy Kopitiam's rendition (RM7.40) is competent without being compelling.
Next up in our nasi lemak hunt: Gastronomy Inc at Bukit Jalil's Wisma Scope International.
Gastronomy Inc offers a sufficiently pleasant nasi lemak experience (RM13.80, with a whole fried chicken leg), alongside yong tau foo that customers can mix & match with noodles - we had our perennial favourites of brinjal, bitter gourd & lady's finger.
Third & final stop for nasi lemak: Broadbean, a cafe with both Eastern & Western dishes at Aman Suria.
At Broadbean, customers can choose either cockle rendang, chicken rendang, ayam goreng rempah, beef rendang, sambal prawn or sambal squid to accompany their nasi lemak (RM10); we would have chosen cockles, but that was unavailable when we visited, so we settled for chicken.
Broadbean does a decent sambal prawn spaghetti (fusion fun at a fair RM10) that can be followed by pour-over coffee (RM8).
