For fans of intriguing places and perspectives in KL’s historical heart, head up to Boombong, the ninth-floor rooftop garden of The Toffee building, freshly open to the public.
A secret sanctuary in the sky, the playfully named Boombong is free for everyone to explore, with serene bird’s-eye views of Raja Chulan, Pudu and Chinatown - perfect for private parties too.
The Toffee is billed as downtown KL’s new space for “food, art, design and architecture,” so it’s possible that Boombong could someday host a coffee bar. The building now houses the Ur-Mu urban museum of regional art collections.
Boombong opens 10am-8:30pm. Take the elevator to the seventh floor and walk up two flights of stairs.
