Fans of atmospheric cafe-bars will enjoy exploring Imbi’s #46, which brings together a new cafe - Toast & Chill KL - and a cocktail bar - Chamber #46 - plus a pet spa, in a previously abandoned residence in downtown KL.
The mood is intoxicatingly cinematic, with a shattered skylight overlooking a weathered hall of decay and disrepair that Miss Havisham might have presided over in Great Expectations.
The cocktails are persuasive - the Doxy is aromatic with Absolut vodka infused with rosemary and cinnamon, mixed with apple and lemon juices, while the #4 blends Hendrick's gin with nutmeg syrup and honey.
Fun fact: The folks who run Toast & Chill will soon open another cafe - Common Space KL - on this street, replacing the now-closed Curee.
