It was all things tea at the "Crafting a 21st Century Luxury Tea Experience" event at the JW Marriott KL, organised by Dilmah Tea, the first producer-owned tea brand that offers tea handpicked and packed at origin (where it's grown), ensuring great taste and natural goodness.
Dilmah CEO Dilhan Fernando shared with an audience of F&B and hospitality professionals and tea lovers how tea can inspire fresh ideas in gastronomy, mixology and food pairing.Some of the premium teas presented include the Tea Maker's Private Reserve, the Silver Jubilee range and the t-Series Designer Gourmet teas.
The versatility of tea was showcased through creative pairing of teas with local food like nasi lemak and satay as well as desserts like cookies-and-cream ice cream, apple crumble and chocolate fudge.
Award-winning mixologist Shawn Chong then treated the audience to creations like Berry Sensation Negroni and Jasmine Green Tea and Tonic to round off an indulgent night of tea-inspired gastronomy and mixology.
