Nost Eatery & Dessert is Ampang’s latest cafe, but it conveys a lived-in, classic charm, true to the nostalgia that its name pays tribute to.
Japanese influences infuse the soft-launch menu: Croissants bursting with egg mayo, crabstick, mentaiko, bonito flakes and nori pave the path for the highlight of delicious daifuku mochi (typically served here ichigo-style, stuffed with strawberry, but the fruit supply was stuck in traffic), paired with a well-balanced matcha latte.
Fun fact: Nost - a pet-friendly venue tucked on a street of auto workshops - is the first cafe for founder Cheng, who formerly ran the Son Of A Baker home baking business.
