Dirty Nelly's: Round Two. Earlier entry: February 28.
Dirty Nelly's signature burger is a one-of-a-kind creation, merging pork, veal & lamb in an unholy union of a 300-gram patty. Satisfyingly hearty, but not as outrageously flavorsome as expected, even though the patty is supposedly laced with bacon bits, jalapeno peppers & English cheddar. The fusion of meat is tender, but not quite juicy enough. Still worth sampling though.
This Caesar salad with quail eggs sounds tempting, thanks to the presence of pork bacon & pulled pork, but the final result seems unusually healthy, with a very light dressing and lean slices of meat.
Pork haters should sample the English crab cakes, which mixes brown & white crab meat with sweet corn. Succulent and fresh-tasting; what more could we want from a crab cake?
Pint of prawns, cooked in butter. Won't win brownie points from calorie-conscious customers.
Dirty Nelly's cocktails are creative and cheap, but not exceptionally potent. Here are the Dragonfly (midori lemon liquor, green tea liquor & vodka, layered with red wine) & Bloody Nelly (vodka, passion fruit puree, caramel syrup).
Cafe Toledo (a warm blend of bailey's, kahlua, chocolate syrup, americano) & Southern Rush (rum, mango puree, pineapple juice).
Pink Fresca (gin, pink grapefruit syrup, lemon slices, tonic).
