Bakul's modern takes on familiar favourites include Szechuan-inspired chicken dumplings with chilli oil, steamed Australian scallop dumplings with black truffle paste, black garlic prawn dumplings, pan-fried chicken dumplings with kimchi, deep-fried sticky rice dumplings with barbecued chicken, avocado kataifi rolls, Vietnamese crispy vegetable spring rolls wrapped in cheong fun, mushroom-shaped buns stuffed with black pepper beef, beetroot-hued buns with salted egg yolk cream, oven-baked polo buns with chicken char siew, and egg tarts with pandan custard and gula Melaka.
