Ficus Bistro's short rib ramen is a beauty, crowned with chunks of four-hour-braised beef, superbly succulent, in a broth that's satisfyingly rich and robust (RM36). This friendly new restaurant promises plenty of playful pleasures, from a three-bao platter, the first one heartily stuffed with fried chicken, another with a crustacean-sweet shrimp patty, plus streaky beef for the third steamed bun (RM21), to pesto pasta that's brightened with Malaysian ulam raja in its textured, veggie-vibrant sauce (RM23).
