KL-based pasta makers Bella & Luca now have their own cafe, after starting out six years ago as a home-based business that marketed fresh ravioli, hand-cut pappardelle, capsicum-infused fettuccine and more to restaurants and supermarkets.
Tucked inside Bangsar's Tivoli Villas, Bella & Luca Cafe offers a fuss-free menu that caters to the neighbourhood. The pasta selection, surprisingly, is limited to spaghetti bolognese and lasagne; the former is served with a fairly firm bite, flavoursome with Parmesan and kitchen-cooked beef ragu, complemented by a crunchy slice of sourdough toast (RM16).
Sourdough is nearly everywhere, from a garlic-bread take on bruschetta, with tomatoes and basil on the side (RM8), to moist, walnut-studded sourdough banana bread (RM6).
Public access to the cafe is easy, with efficient registration at the condo guardhouse.
Tivoli Villas, Jalan Medang Tanduk, Bukit Bandaraya, 59100 Kuala Lumpur.
Open Tue-Fri, 830am-5pm; Sat, 830am-230pm. Tel: 03-2711-2976
