Tree's company: If you're out on a limb for a solid set lunch, The Tree House won't have you barking up the wrong banyan. Taking root in Solaris Mont Kiara with a striking tree-themed bar centrepiece, its 'trunk' encircled with bottles of brandy and whisky, this vibrant new venue offers weekday midday meals comprising one main course plus a starter for a total of RM18.90++, with a focus on local and regional fare.

Macha's Maggi Mee Goreng, one of the main course possibilities, aims to be an upgrade of the mamak favourite, boosted with slices of Chicken 65 and prawns; choices for sides include a simple salt-and-pepper squid with sriracha sauce. The two-plate set lunch is available Mondays through Fridays, 1130am-3pm.

Since we've always advocated day drinking, supplement your food with a Wine Cooler At The Balcony cocktail, mixed with cherry brandy, strawberry liqueur and cranberry juice (RM25) or an Italian Canaletto red wine (RM27 per glass).
