Vegan dim sum? Good Meals offers Oriental cuisine with resourcefully wholesome flourishes.
If you're seeking a creative selection, Good Meals should hit the spot.
Yeast-free sourdough buns are stuffed with millet cream fillings in flavours like Earl Grey, sweet potatoes and savoury vegetables (RM18 for three pieces); pumpkin, carrots and rice flour are steamed into rice cakes, pan-fried and topped with seasoned turnips and coriander (RM18); handmade dumplings of glutinous rice and tapioca flour are packed with chayote and shiitake (RM12 for four pieces); beetroot, sweet corn and cashews are slow-boiled into a soup with kombu sticks (RM20); organic mulukhiyah leaves are stir-fried with ginger and naturally fermented soy sauce (RM18); and steaming-hot soy milk is infused with turmeric and star anise, splashed with coconut oil (RM21).
Through it all, flavours and textures remain enjoyable, a testament to the tried-and-tested experience of the team here (which operates Mont Kiara's Real Food vegetarian cafe-grocer with a different menu).
