Coffee-ish ranks high among Sri Petaling's fresh breed of cafes that take their caffeine seriously, but it can also prove a fun destination - the Royal Vienna 'balancing siphon,' based beautifully on a European brewer model invented in the 1840s, is an intriguing way to watch your cuppa being prepared. Coffee-ish also promises pomelo cheesecakes & scones for snacking on.

Fenmous is more a health store than a cafe, selling everything from slimming products to avocado oil for skin. But it also serves coffee, including its own interpretation of bulletproof coffee, combining coffee with a spoonful of wild-harvested, cold-pressed extra virgin Malaysian coconut oil (RM7.70), reasonably rich & aromatic.

A bit off the beaten track, Skyhills is tucked on a manufacturing & motor-works street in one of Ara Damansara's more industrial-oriented areas; it's been quite awhile since our visit here, but we have warm memories of this cafe's very enjoyable carrot cake & tiramisu - hopefully those desserts remain available.
