An armoured knight stands guard in this bar, the most conspicuous sign of what's meant to be a medieval theme that's not quite evident in much other than Virgin & Throne's name & a few flourishes in its decor. Cocktails take a modern bent - the Watermelon Mint Soup (RM118) is made for sharing, filled with vodka-infused watermelon balls in fresh, icy watermelon juice.
Virgin & Throne
26-A, 1st Floor, Jalan Datuk Sulaiman, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. Mon-Sat, 5pm-1am. Tel: 03-77312838
The Vault is on its way to becoming one of Sri Hartamas' buzziest bars; but while its repertoire sounds promising, spiced up with the use of a few Asian elements like pandan-infused vodka, kaffir lime-infused tequila & cili padi, the couple of cocktails we ordered were one-dimensionally cloying. RM34-RM42 per drink.
The Vault
5, Jalan Sri Hartamas 7, Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. Daily, 5pm-3am.
