With yakitori fever spreading like wildfire across the Klang Valley, a convenient place to savor this skewered meat is Motto Motto, which boasts a barrage of succulent selections.
Chicken liver, gizzard & duck breast. The road to culinary heaven is paved with good offal.
Kampung chicken thigh & tail. Sizzling and smoky. But here's the trouble with yakitori: plenty of sticks need to be ordered to satiate the carnivores in us.
Chicken skin. Sinfully crisp. One of our favorites, no matter how unhealthy.
Kampung chicken meatball with kampung egg. Break the runny yolk and smear it all over the meat for a simple but supremely satisfying mouthful of mush.
Pork belly with homemade chili sauce. Thankfully, it's not all about fowl at Motto Motto. The only drawback here: prices are relatively steep, with each stick costing 5-7 ringgit.
Pork stomach & intestines. Be warned: this is stinky stuff, with an aftertaste that can't easily be banished. But why not go the whole hog, so to speak?
Enoki mushrooms wrapped with pork. Lusciously addictive, even if these do look more like strange creatures from the ocean's depths.
Grilled rice balls. Crunchy carbs to complement all that prodigious protein.
