Beer Mad, Subang

They might be mad for beer but they’re also crazy about crustaceans: Platters piled high with three whole crabs atop each other - clambering for their photo-friendly close-up, cloaked in crowd-rousing flavours like creamy salted egg with crispy yam - are the ten-legged temptation at Subang’s latest watering hole. The crabs are moist and fairly fleshy for their mid-range size, well-saturated with salted egg; other varieties include butter crab, kam heong or chilli, all available at RM58 per platter.

Other crab offerings include crab spring rolls, crab fried rice and crab salad; the rest of the menu spans the spectrum from Hainanese chicken chop to grilled lamb shoulder and braised pork belly, pizzas and pastas. To pair with the pub grub: Kirin (RM18), Vin Pierre VdF (RM25), whisky, brandy, gin, cocktails and their ilk.
